EXHIBITION TITLE
Water & Salt
SEE DJERBA engaged with Djerba’s complex heritage through the lens of contemporary media art. During the festival, public spaces were transformed into dynamic canvases, where media art installations applied digital hard- and softwares to explore DFjerba’s natural and cultural heritage.
The guiding theme in 2024 was “Water & Salt”, following “Water Matters” in 2023. The festival integrated artworks from local and international artists, encouraging dialogue about water crisis issues, climate awareness, and regenerative development strategies. On display were light-based sculpture, mapped projections, and immersive spaces, many of them made site-specifically or adapted to local features.
